food truck
Request a license to sell food and nonalcoholic beverages to the general public.

fireworks
Outdoor Fireworks Display Permit applications must be filed at least 15 days prior to the event. The fireworks display must be supervised by a state certified public display fireworks operator.
Other requirements include:
Proof of a bond or certificate of insurance
A diagram of the ground at which the display will be held

Waste Hauler
Request a license to collect garbage and solid waste. Waste Hauler licenses are valid for one year from January 1 to December 31. The renewal process for current license holders begins in October.

Alcohol Licensing
Request a license for the sale of alcohol, including intoxicating liquor, wine, and beer. Alcohol licenses are valid for one year from July 1 to June 30. The renewal process begins in February and renewal applications are due by April 30, in order to have enough time for approvals.
Liquor
- OFF SALE license applies to the sale of packaged intoxicating liquor including distilled spirits, wine, and beer by liquor stores for consumption off the licensed premises.
- ON SALE license applies to the sale of intoxicating liquor including distilled spirits, wine, and beer for consumption on the licensed premises with food service available (restaurants, bars, hotels).
- Large for spaces of 2000+ square feet and 200+ guest seating
- Small for spaces of 1000+ square feet and 50+ guest seating
- Limited for culinary classes
- Club - Large for clubs with 201-500 members; sale to members only
- Club - Small for clubs with 200 or less members; sale to members only
- Temporary license applies to the sale by a current license holder up to four days for consumption on a nonprofit event premises
- SUNDAY SALE license is for the sale of intoxicating liquor on Sundays by current on sale intoxicating liquor license holders with food service available (restaurants, bars, hotels).
Wine
- ON SALE license applies to the sale of wine and strong beer up to 24% alcohol by volume (ABV) by a restaurant with guest seating for 20+ for consumption on-site.
Malt
- OFF SALE license applies to the sale of packaged malt beer 3.2% alcohol by weight (ABW) by grocery and convenience stores for consumption off the licensed premises.
- ON SALE license applies to the sale of malt beer 3.2% ABW for consumption on the licensed premises with food service available (clubs, restaurants, hotels).
- Temporary license applies to the sale by a current license holder up to four days for consumption on a nonprofit event premises

Massage
Request a license to provide therapeutic massage services for profit. Massage licenses are valid for one year from July 1 to June 30. The renewal process for current license holders begins in April.

tobacco
Request a license to sell tobacco. Tobacco licenses are valid for one year from January 1 to December 31. The renewal process for license holders begins in October.

gambling
Registered nonprofit organizations seeking to conduct bingo, raffles, and other forms of lawful gambling by excluded or exempt permit as allowed by Minnesota law.

License Applications for Peddler or Transient Merchant
Apply for a license for the sale of goods and services.
Peddler APPLICATION (PDF)
Immediate delivery. Example of a peddler is an mobile ice cream truck.
Transient Merchant APPLICATION (PDF)
Non-permanent facility and temporary sales. Example of transient merchants is a fireworks tent sales.
