The City is planning to replace the playground at Valley View Heights in 2023. In order to engage the community and install a playground that residents are excited to utilize, the city is interested in which of the three proposed designs is your favorite.
An open house on the playground is scheduled for March 9, 2023 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Mendota Heights City Hall (1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights MN 55118). Staff will be present to answer questions on the improvement.
Each design features a 2-5 year-old play area and a 5-12 year-old play area, including swings, slides, a climbing feature, and many other fun components. The playground that will be installed at Valley View Heights will have engineered wood fiber surfacing matching the existing surfacing. The new playground will include an ADA accessible ramp to enter the playground and the new playground will meet all national safety and accessibility standards. Please note that all three playground options cost the same amount of money, based on what is pictured in the renderings.
Please choose your favorite playground design below. The results of the survey will be shared with the Mendota Heights Parks and Recreation Commission and the Mendota Heights City Council to help inform their decision on which playground design will be selected.
