Early this year, the City asked residents for input on an upgrade to the Valley View Heights playground.
Now, after tallying more than 130 votes, the final playground design has been selected, and it was approved by the City Council at their March 21 meeting. In addition, based on feedback received from the community, City staff are working with the vendor to see if an additional belt swing and baby swing can be added to the design.
At a cost of $82,333, work on the playground will begin in late summer and is scheduled to be completed by October.
