Short-term rental properties are also known as vacation home rentals. These properties are typically furnished and range from a single room to an entire home, which can be rented for 30 days or less. Beginning Sept. 17, 2024, Mendota Heights short-term rental property owner/operators are required to:
- Obtain an annual license
- Maintain primary residence at the property
- Limit short-term rentals to five bedrooms or less
- Limit occupancy to 12 people or less, depending on the number of bedrooms
- Require a two-night minimum stay
