The City, County and State all maintain different roadways in our community; here's what projects are planned for the coming year.
City of Mendota Heights
- The City will rehabilitate Emerson Ave., Ivy Falls Ct., Ivy Hill Dr., Laura Ct., Laura St., Maple Park Dr., Sylvandale Ct., Sylvandale Ct. S. and Sylvandale Rd. – including watermain replacement.
- If acceptable bids are received, the City will complete a pavement replacement project on Arbor Ct., Bridgeview Ct., Mendota Heights Cir., Monet Ct., Monet Ln., Pondhaven Ct., Pondhaven Ln., Westview Cir. and Westview Terr.
- Crack and chip sealing will take place on Chippewa Ave., Concord Way, Lockwood Dr., Stockbridge Rd., Whitfield Dr., Claremont Dr. and Bedford Ct.
- A crack seal-only project will take place on Mendakota Dr., South Plaza Dr., Vail Dr., Twin Circle Dr., West Circle Ct., Avanti Dr., Faro Ln., Summit Ln. and Bwana Ct.
Dakota County
- Dakota Co. has entered into a contract to reconstruct Delaware Ave., from Mendota Rd. to Marie Ave. The project will add a trail on the West St. Paul side of Delaware Ave. and include a pedestrian refuge near the school exit access point. This project will require private utility relocations.
- Dakota Co., West St. Paul and Mendota Heights will also begin the design process to reconstruct Delaware Ave. from Marie Ave. to Dodd Rd.
Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT)
- MnDOT will replace the guardrails on the north side of the Mendota Bridge. This project is expected to extend three months and will require a closure of the pedestrian/bicycle portion of the bridge.
- MnDOT is also proposing to rehabilitate the pedestrian/bicycle trails along Highway 13 from Acacia Drive to the Mendota Bridge. MnDOT will also begin work on I-494 from 24th Avenue to Pilot Knob Road.
