[ARCHIVED] Follow the City on Instagram!

Now on Insta

In the digital age, social media platforms have become an ideal place to showcase the City, engage with residents and build a sense of community. Among the platforms, Instagram has quickly become a visual haven where cities can showcase their unique identities, culture and attractions. The City recently joined Instagram, aiming to highlight the natural beauty and small town feel that make Mendota Heights truly one-of-a-kind.

“The City’s efforts on Instagram are an exciting part of implementing tactics to support the City Council’s strategic priorities,” said Mayor Stephanie Levine. “We want to meet our community where you are, by engaging in conversations and community building in the places you frequent – Instagram is one of those places, especially for our younger demographic which can be hard to reach.”

The City’s Instagram account serves as a visual diary, portraying a tapestry of moments that collectively reflect our unique community. Each photograph shared tells a story, whether it’s highlighting tales of bygone years or symbols of progress, innovation and preservation.

“Beyond visual storytelling, the City’s Instagram account plays pivotal role in fostering community engagement, providing a two-way street where residents and visitors can actively participate in shaping the City’s narrative,” said Levine.
