Joseph (Joe) King joined the City of Mendota Heights in May as the new Fire Marshal, after previously working for the City from 2018-20 as an on-call Firefighter. Joe began his career in the fire service as a part-time firefighter, then became a full-time firefighter, inspector and emergency medical technician for the City of Eagan. Joe is passionate about fire service and fire prevention and he is looking forward to building out and deploying a comprehensive fire safety and fire prevention strategy for the Mendota Heights community.
Darby Keec
h is the City’s new Parks and Recreation Department intern. Darby graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in May 2023, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Life and Family Studies. Darby previously worked as a recreation intern for the City of Inver Grove Heights where she coordinated youth and family programming. Darby is passionate about creating fun and fulfilling programming for all. She is excited to get to know the community of Mendota Heights even better! After hours Darby is also looking forward to summer days spent outside.
