Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the City of Mendota Heights! Volunteering presents a rich opportunity to serve in an area that you are passionate about, meet new friends, and support and enhance our local community. You can also learn about city operations, services, and programs, get to know city staff, and build connections with neighbors.
Volunteer opportunities are available for adults and juniors. Junior volunteer opportunities will vary based on minimum age requirements for some of the volunteer programs or activities. Our volunteer opportunities appeal to a wide range of interests, such as public safety, the environment and natural resources, parks and recreational event support, and more. As volunteers register, the city will continue to evaluate feedback on what types of activities volunteers are interested in, and may develop programs to expand into other activities moving forward.
There are a lot of ways to get involved with the City of Mendota Heights Volunteer Program!
One Time Volunteers
The city hosts group volunteer opportunities throughout the year which folks can sign up for. If you are interested in participating in an upcoming volunteer event, please complete the One-Time Volunteer Sign-in Form (LINK). This form helps us to track volunteers, hours of service, and to sign the liability waiver for participating in the program.
Signing up to be an ongoing volunteer through the city's volunteer program is a great way to connect with neighbors and to contribute service to community. If you are interested in becoming an ongoing volunteer or in leading a group of volunteers in projects throughout the city, please complete the Ongoing Volunteer Sign Up Form (LINK). If you are a current group leader interested in volunteering in the city, please contact the city's Volunteer Coordinator or call the city at 651-452-1850.
