The Mendota Heights Police Reserves support the department by performing duties that allow police officers to focus on patrol work. Additionally, they assist at community events including the Scott Patrick 5k, Parks Celebration, 4th of July Fireworks, Night to Unite and many more. They also work closely with Reserve Officers from other Northern Dakota County agencies for training and events.
Training for Reserves is continuous and includes first aid/CPR/AED, traffic control, crime scene management, the arrest and booking process, and communications.
Reserves are asked to commit to 12 hours per month plus 40 hours per year for community events.
If you are interested in becoming a Reserve Officer, please contact Sgt. Fleming.
